My Videos aren’t playing

Please, I have videos on my LMS website. These videos were uploaded via VideoPress. All of a sudden, my users can’t play them any longer. Is it because my VideoPress subscription expired? I thought even after expiration, users can be able to play the videos?

I have used VideoPress for more than two years. I shouldn’t be able to upload any more videos after expiration but the uploaded videos doesn’t stop playing.

@funiqskills, it appears that the post in question dates back to 2011, and there have been numerous policy changes since then.
In 2022, VideoPress implemented a requirement for a paid plan to maintain public access to any uploaded videos. Previously, you needed a paid plan only for uploading, and the videos weren’t restricted if the plan lapsed.
Currently, without a paid plan, you can use only one video with a file size limit of 1GB. Since your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, you would need to upgrade to the Jetpack VideoPress plan to regain public access to those videos.
