My view count went a bit bonkers yesterday…

    alphainventions.com was the referrer, it was just a bot weren’t it? :(

    WordPress.com stats do not include vists from bots.

    The following are not counted:
    * Visits from registered users of the blog when they are logged in.
    * Visits to uploaded documents and files
    * Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images.
    * GoogleBot and other search engine spiders.

    I believe alphainventions uses RSS feeds to pull the included wordpress.com websites into a frame. So every time it loads, it creates a visit to the blog. The timeframe is set by the alphainventions web master so if he sets it to a 5 second time frame or whatever timeframe, it creates a visit when it loads. Therefore, the visit numbers go up on blogs that have not opted out of alphainventions. If you wish to remove your blog then I believe you can do that by using this link http://alphainventions.com/block
