My Vimeo video appears lores

Hi there,
I’ve placed my Vimeo video (https://vimeo.com/103071857) in my About page (http://londonfatcat.com/about/). It’s coming out lores. How come?
Just a note, I’ve used a Vimeo video before on this page:
http://londonfatcat.com/2014/04/07/benetton-flowers-masterclass-spring-launch/I’ve just revisited it and I see it’s quite lores too now, which wasn’t the case at all when I first wrote the article. Could you kindly look into this?

I’m afraid I’m not sure what you mean by “lores.” I just took a look at the link which you provided and your video looks quite normal to me, though I’m not sure how you intended it.

Hello there, thanks so much for taking the time to check this out! I’m terribly sorry for not replying sooner.
The type is pixelated on the video on my blog, compared to the original post on Vimeo. For example, if you compare the word ‘Dalston’ at 22 seconds on either link (https://vimeo.com/103071857 and http://londonfatcat.com/about), you’ll be able to see the difference.
Viewing on my phone is fine as it’s a smaller screen but on my laptop, you can see the lower quality. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance!

OK, I see what you’re talking about. It may be a function of embedding (something which Vimeo does) or it could be something on our end. I’ll see what I can find out and I will let you know as soon as I have some additional information for you!

It looks like Vimeo actually downgrades all of their embedded video to standard resolution by default unless you specify it on each specific video (unless you are a plus or a PRO user).
They have a help article which explains this and how to set it to HD here:

Thanks for looking into this – it seems that Vimeo haven’t updated their help page as their HD options in account settings are not the same anymore. I think this is a recent change as I didn’t have this problem for a Vimeo video I posted a few months ago. I’ll contact Vimeo to see if I can resolve this. Thanks :)
