My web address is different than my blog address!

  Hi,

  I am really confused by this. I have a blog called One Voice Spiritual Coaching in which I purchased a .com.

  I have it on my business cards, flyers, etc. Yet no one is contacting me.

  I checked and it seems the blog’s address (at the top in the search bar) is the old address Triplemoonspiritualcoaching.com

  How do I change this to reflect Onevoicespiritualcoaching.com?

  When I go to change blog address, it asks me to upgrade yet I have already paid for this .com

  Hi,
  When did you purchase Onevoicespiritualcoaching.com? When I checked a couple of domain registrars, both said that the domain was still available. Unless you just purchased it in the past day or so, I’d say it was unsuccessful.

  I suggest trying it again, following the steps in this guide:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/

  The guide also shows how to have your new domain show in the address bar by making it the primary domain.

  Hi and thank you so much for your response. I bought it earlier this year. It was paid for so I don’t understand why it’s not showing up.

  Is there someone in Support I could ask about this? I will check out the link you sent me but it concerns me since I did purchase it and now have it on all of my business info.

  I just checked my email folder and found that I did pay for the renewal on June 17 of this year however it was listed as Triplemoon and not OneVoice.

  How can I fix this? I don’t want to pay it again when it was just paid. I need it to reflect OneVoiceSpiritualCoaching.com

  Hi Lisa,

  Your site’s free address is onevoicespiritualcoaching.wordpress.com, but the custom domain name you purchased for that site is triplemoonspiritualcoaching.com. Changing the site’s free address doesn’t change its custom domain — you’ll need to purchase the custom domain onevoicespiritualcoaching.com if you’d like to use it on your site. (When you register a custom domain you’re purchasing the right to use that exact domain name, so each time you want to change your domain name you’ll need to register the new one you want to start using.)

  That domain onevoicespiritualcoaching.com isn’t registered yet, so you can head to your Domains page to register it for your site. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

  Hi and thank you both for your quick reply!

  Here’s the thing … when I paid the $26 back in June I was under the impression it was for OneVoiceSpriritualCoaching.com since that is the name of my blog. I had that printed on all of my business material.

  Since I paid and TripleMoon is no longer the name of my business, can’t the money be transferred over to the new name instead of paying twice?

  I only have the one life coaching and it’s not Triple Moon.
