My web site crashes on ipad

  I just started with you guys. I have a TINY website with one image, some text and a Soundcloud embedded thingy. The soundcloud thing is only five songs. The site displays fine on my iphone, but not my ipad mini. Both are on 7.1.1. Kind of bad to have a site that crashes a hugely popular item when I’m trying to produce a show!

  Advice is much appreciated.

  Hi Mark,

  I’m sorry for the trouble you’re having on your iPad. Are you able to access the Singl theme’s demo site from your iPad?

  That demo site also includes a Soundcloud player and other content, so I’d like to see if you have trouble accessing that site or if the issue you’re having is specific to your site. Let me know how that goes and we can keep troubleshooting this for you. :)

  I am able to open it. So I’m extra confused now! There is only one song on the demo playlist- though it appears to be a long set in a single take. So I’m not sure how that compares.

  How can we narrow down what is causing the issue? I literally have a jpeg, a soundcloud, a short description, a link, and a second page with press quotes. That’s it.

  Hi there,

  We did some additional testing and reproduced the problem you’re having. We also narrowed down the issue: It seems to only happen with Soundcloud playlists (rather than single embedded songs) and only in the Singl theme.

  I reported that issue to our developers, but I can’t guarantee that they’ll come up with a fix for it. In the meantime, I’d recommend that you try embedding a single song from Soundcloud and then link to the full playlist elsewhere, or try out a different theme on your site. Either of those changes should stop your site from crashing on the iPad for the time being.

  Sorry for the inconvenience. We have now fixed the issue and you should be able to use the SoundCloud playlist now.
