  I paid $18 so my website would come up caroljohnsonfantasywriter.com without any mention of wordpress in the web address. However when I look at how it is listed under account settings it says dotcom.wordpress.com. Please explaine

  Hello!

  Your website’s address is indeed http://caroljohnsonfantasywriter.com/ and everybody visiting your website will always see that address, ‘wordpress’ will not be seen.

  Inside the account settings is the original address of the WordPress.com website of yours. It is the forever free WordPress.com blog address that will always remain, even if you cancel the premium address.

  In other words, no need to worry. The visitors of your website won’t see ‘wordpress’ inside your blog address. Only http://caroljohnsonfantasywriter.com/.
