  I am a newbie at this . I am also an Emergency Medical Technician. I am attempting to create my own website. It is geared towards my own personal blog page but also to include information for different affiliate websites selling clothes and other accessories for emergency medical technician; fire fighters; and police officers. I not sure if I can do this on WordPress. com. I am not completely understanding this information from your site that states ….
  ‘Promoting affiliate links through comments or the support forums is considered spam. Such activity is a violation of our Terms of Service.’ So if I have my own blog and discuss my ideas about different clothes / accessories related to this field or make a comment on this in my blog… it is considered spam. I really do not want to get into trouble. But I still want a website of my own and to have some income from it. Would that be considered an’ Affiliate Marketing Blog?’ Very confused.
