Hi @sonalshahhouston, how are you today? I am really sorry for the frustration you are going through.
I checked your site and noticed it’s showing a “coming soon” page. Could you clarify what happened just before your site crashed? With this information, I’ll be able to assist you more effectively.
Cheers,
Jim

no idea. I dont touch my site. do you think scammers had put that?
but how did they get in my site?
-
Thank you for your response, @sonalshahhouston. Are you able to log in to your WordPress.com account? Also, did you give someone access to your website? If so, what were they fixing or doing?
-
yes- i gave access to someone and since then I’m having this monthly issue of crashing. How do i remove his access?

@sonalshahhouston What is the full URL of your site? You’re currently in the forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com where you have a site that hasn’t been launched yet. Note we can’t help sites on servers at other companies.

Hi again @sonalshahhouston, thank you for getting back. If you added them as a user in the admin panel, you can remove them via My Sites -> Manage -> People then select user and delete them.
-
This is the url I see on top.
what do you mean by not hosted. the domain and hosting is by Hostinger.
-
i dont see my site tab on dashboard. where will i find it? when I checked users, it shows sonalShahHouston which is me as admin.

-
no. i need to find out if that third party who revised my wordpree site, is he still in as a user or not? i need to know the steps to search the site users and if his name is there, I need to delete him.

Hi @sonalshahhouston, I now see the confusion. Your full website: https://sonalshahhouston.com/ is not hosted on wordpress.com its actually using self-hosted wordpress.org. So that makes it different from: sonalshahhouston-fbend.wordpress.com which is actually on wordpress.com. I hope you see the difference.
So the issues on your website: https://sonalshahhouston.com/ can actually be solved over there on the wordpress.org forums.

To be specific on your issue, you may change your password if it’s still the same one you gave to the people that accessed your site. In future, I suggest creating a user then giving them privileges based on the work they’re supposed to do. You’ll be able to delete them once they’ve done their work.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to respond if you’re still confused 🙂
Cheers,
Jim

It is only possible to delete him if only he was created in the first instance. If in the first instance of you giving him access you created a new user with his email address and gave him a role that’s when it’s possible to delete him by loging in to your wp-admin wordpress dashboard, look through the side panel on the left and find and navigate to Users and click to open all users, so if you created a user for him you’ll find it there and you can delete him from there.
But if not, it means you’ve given him the same login details you’ve with which you get to your backend and wp dashboard and you can only restrict him by updating your password to a newer one.
I hope this helps, let me know if you’re able to figure this out or probably you’ll need a personalised walk through.
