My website disappeared

Left on vacation and now the website (travelingskateboarder.com) just sends me to GoDaddy. When I try to use FTP to access site it says cannot connect. Also on the beckend of wordpress.com all of the plugins have disappeared and also it says ‘Site cannot be accessed’. I tried to login to WordPress.org using my details and it didn’t work so I tried using my email address to reset the password and received no change password email. I’m currently on hold with GoDaddy but they don’t seem to have access to a recovery of the site. Please help this is cutting into my business.

  • Hi –

That domain is registered through GoDaddy and it looks like they are also the hosting provider. Please contact them directly. We don’t have any access to this site.

There’s 2 different versions of WordPress. It sounds like your site was set up using the open source, community maintained, WordPress software. That’s different from using our managed environment at WordPress.com.

Go to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ for help with using the WordPress installation.
