My website disappeared

I’m really hoping someone can help me figure out what happened to my website. It was up and running until this morning when I tried to link my website to google. Ever since it’s just gone. My login link / account / username, nothing works anymore! I have created this wordpress account to get help since I couldn’t figure out a different way to get help without accessing my account.

Hi! It got stuck in a filter the first time, but we’ve got it now. So this domain isn’t actually mapped to our hosting services, and as far as I can tell, you don’t have a site hosted with us.
I’d imagine it’s hosted with GoDaddy. Here’s the difference:

I am so confused. I have been working on this website through wordpress for the past 2 months. The website has been running for over a year and I started making tons of changes to it about 2 months ago. I don’t understand any of this, I know 1000% I have been working on WordPress, so has the guy I hired for SEO services.

It does look like you made some changes to the domain on July 30. Can you check in with your host to see what those settings should be?

I did not log in July 30th. Could I be hacked? I talked to someone from GoDaddy and he provided me with this link: https://digital.com/best-web-hosting/who-is/#search=solosenergy.ca It states here Amazon.com is the hosting provider but they couldn’t find any information about this?

Just noting too, these breaking changes seem to have been to the domain itself.
Were you creating a new site on our services with a temporary address? If so can you send that address?

Please ask GoDaddy for help changing the domain back to the settings you had prior to July 30. Then, if you have been hosting with AWS, I’d recommend contacting them next.

https://get.wp.comBut to be clear, the issues you’re seeing now are certainly related to whatever is going on with the domain + hosting situation rather than WordPress itself. Please check in with your SEO contractor on that as well to see if they have been making changes.

No I wasn’t. The last time I worked on http://www.solosenergy.ca was probably 7 days ago

You can see the domain was updated on July 30, 2022 here (note the “updated” date)

And, if you had a site with a temporary address hosted here with our services (you would know if you did; here’s our pricing), please send a link to that. Every site hosted here on our servers will have a temporary address underneath the custom domain: usually something like lizaklingers.wordpress.com or solosenergy.wordpress.com, but I wasn’t able to find any site like that on your account.

Could you please ask them what records they want us to update on the DNS of the domain?

Actually, DNS changes are not recognized when they are made because there are many entries for that and no DNS provider has a track for that.Could you please ask them to provide the records that are needed to be updated in the DNS of the domain?

As the site is not hosted with WordPress.com, there’s very little we can do to help here.
All of the information you require is at GoDaddy, and you would need to relay these questions back to them.
There are two types of WordPress and your site is using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

And why am I not able to log in anymore? The link that I always used to log in and edit my website doesn’t work anymore?!
