My website doesn't come up in search engines, e.g. Google

    Hello!

I’d be very grateful for any help with this. Thank you!

When I google “Walthamstow bunny” my website does not come up (unless I type in full website address). Why haven’t search engines picked up on this? Is there anything I can do that doesn’t cost anything to change this?

THANK YOU in advance for your help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You are joking I assume?

It takes 4 to 7 weeks for a new web site to be indexed by search engines, and that is only if there is something worth indexing on a new site., Your site is one day old and has one small Page with not much content on it. You need to add more content and very specifically more Posts.

it takes a some time around three to four weeks for google to properly index your website..so wait and just provide high quality content to your visitors and never forget to seo optimize your website properly

Um, ok thanks um …. no, i posted a lot of info, inc links …. that’s my point, but if what you’re saying is true, then thank you, i will def post more info which is of course what i intend, HOWEVER, i have googled very specific groups, for example a so-called christian men’s ministry, not well-known, and a half page “blog” or site with one large stock pic/graphic and one small paragraph on the org comes up in the top 10 every time when this org is googled …. so, i’m questioning your info re both the time frame as well as the need for a lot of content – i’ve seen plenty of one page blogs or sites about an issue or exposing some individual that all come up in the top ten search results for a specific name or organization

you may be misunderstanding “google search results”, i mean specifically when the address is plugged in, not just the subject matter … but as i said, i’ve seen subject matter for which there is little online, when someone posts just a one page blog or site with just a pic and paragraph or 2, it comes up top ten results every time, in whatever way the subject matter is posed to google

And btw, as i said, i posted a full page, inc a couple links … it’s plenty of info and a h— of a lot more than i’ve seen on top search results for similar posts/blogs

Re time frame, never heard that before and its not a “new site” it’s a blog on wordpress, which is already a site, just like when i post a page or profile of my own on other host sites which take submissions and allow a page creation within their own site (which is what wordpress is) and it comes up immed – NOT 4-7 weeks later, so not sure what you’re talking about

  • Unknown's avatar

Anyway, i’ve done sites of my own before and they came up immed when title and content was googled

    No.

Hi Denvermomstrength, I had the same problem as you but today, about 10 days after I published my one-page static website, it comes up at No 4 when I search Walthamstow Bunny on Google. I think we just have to be patient. I personally have no intention to keep updating my website with blogs, etc. I just don’t have the time and I’ve said most of what I wanted to say on the homepage. Good luck! X

Thank you! In my daily status, it says “nothing published”, does that mean just for that particular day, not as in, today, nothing online is published? lol

It would seem, and based on what i’ve seen either setting up a page/profile on other hosting sites, the less there is on a subject, one would think new material on it would end up on first page of google … if you consider myspace for example, once you created a page, it was there, like right away …. or i could name other sites which solicit submissions on topics, and have a form in which you fill in info and put up pics and immed its there to be googled …. inc whether or not the site gives your page/profile it’s own www. ….. .com/ ….. or not
