My website domain expired and now I cannot access my site as the jetpack link is broken
-
Hi, I can no longer access the wordpress admin page to see my blog but I really want to access it as I want to start up the site again with a different domain. How do I regain access to it? It just says my jetpack link is broken!
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Hi there:
It sounds like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
If you let the domain expire, you would need to reach out to your hosting provider for help in switching your site from your expired domain to your new one. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue.
I hope that clarifies things!
