Hi there,
Your site hasn’t been hacked.
You got that email because you have the Guest Registrations feature on your site enabled, and it allowed someone else to register a subscriber account on your site. Such an account doesn’t give someone access to the dashboard.
To disable that feature, log into WP-Admin and go to Settings ->General. Untick the box next to Membership ->Anyone can register.
Next go to Users ->All Users and remove any users you see there that shouldn’t be there.
If you have any questions about this feature built into the open source WordPress software you’re using on your site, you can ask the WordPress.org community who makes that software in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
The forum you’re posting in now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We’re not the same thing as the WordPress software you’re using, and your site isn’t hosted on our servers, so we have no control at all over it.
