My website has disappeared and I don’t know why
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@handm2013, when I click on your link you posted, I’m able to see a website.
What has disappeared, or where are you looking that you aren’t able to view it?
If you can give a little more details, we might be able to better help you!
-
Hi, @handm2013.
I can see your website as well as @juliannekb. Only adding some further information.
Note that you can have access to your site dashboard putting your site address in the browser address bar followed by /wp-admin. In this case: http://seastarcottage.wordpress.com/wp-admin.
Let us know if you still have any problem to access your site.

Click the member link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/handm2013 under the username as that is the first thing we do prior to responding to any thread. Note the deleted URL which is http://shellscottage/wordpress.com
Deleting a URL is intended to be a permanent act and that is why warnings are given that one has to ignore to delete a site.
Deleted wordpress.COM blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Adding a New Site or Blog to an Existing Account https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/#adding-a-new-site-or-blog-to-an-existing-account
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

This is to let you know that experienced Volunteers like me have been asked to back off and allow the horde of Staff wannbes to answer threads and we have done so while grinding our teeth. Please consult WordPress.com Volunteers https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-com-volunteers/ as we who can answer these threads quickly, comprehensively and accurately have helped to create that support doc at to help you out. I think what I have been witnessing points to the need to add to it.

Good observation, @timethief. I’ve already knew that but this time I went direct to the address @handm2013 has provided and forgot to check the one she was logged in. Thanks for keep giving us more tips and remind us of the best practices.

The website that is missing is Shells Cottage. I did not delete my website….http://shellscottage/wordpress.com. I never would have done that.
I have no idea why it has disappeared. The only thing I did today was renew my hosting at Go Daddy and then it was gone.

The software not the person supplied this like it does on every thread:
The blog I need help with is https://seastarcottage.wordpress.com.
We must determine the exact URL and where it is hosted prior to posting at all because assuming that the one supplied by the software is correct will not always be the case.So clicking the member link that is where we start knowing we cannot provide an accurate response unless or until we know the actual URL and where the site is hosted. People register more than one site under a username and they can have multiple usernames, and the because clicking the member link will reveal if the thread is a duplicate, and because when we do that we can read previous threads posted by the person to see what they have had issues with before and how much experience they have so we can better phrase our answers to their level of expertise.

There is no domain mapping upgrade for shellscottage.com here at wordpress.com.

That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum to get support for it. Also be aware of who the web host is for your site and contact them directly for any hosting issues.
