My website has disappeared

My website – mindfully-aware.com – on WordPress.com – has disappeared. Stats show that the site was accessed on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd August (last week) when I found today that I couldn’t access my site online – I logged into WordPress and all the pages (in fact everything) has disappeared. 2 1/2 years work just gone. How can I restore it?

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there!

I think there’s some confusion here. There are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

Your site is not hosted with us but uses the Jetpack plugin to connect to your WordPress.com account. This connection does not provide you hosting or backup of your WordPress installation, so the site not showing up on your WordPress.com dashboard doesn’t mean it has “disappeared” – it just means your site is no longer connected through the Jetpack plugin to your WordPress.com account.

Pulling up your website, which is hosted with 1-2-3-Reg, is reporting timeout errors. Since your site is not accessible, that’s why the Jetpack plugin isn’t connected.

You should reach out to your host for help with this problem. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the only ones to help you with this issue.

Once they get your site back online and if you have trouble reconnecting Jetpack, you would need to contact Jetpack support for help.

    I hope that clarifies things!
