  • Hi there,

https://fsgrecords.com appears to use the WordPress software and is hosted with another company than WordPress.com. In order to get help with your website, we do suggest contacting either your host’s own customer support, or alternatively the community forums of WordPress.org:

To clarify, there are two ways to use WordPress, you can either use the WordPress software downloaded from WordPress.org onto a web host (also known as self-hosted), or you may host your site with us here at WordPress.com. For reference, you can learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

    Hello,

I’ve been suspecting fraudulent activity with my site for months. I’ve tried countless times to receive help from WordPress, Woo Commerce, and Ced Commerce. Finally, the only people that responded to me were people from Ced commerce who needed me to talk to them on WhatsApp between the hours of 10pm and 9am CT because I’m assuming they live very far away. After speaking with them and giving them info, my website was shut down, and I still can’t get into the back end. Now, they’re saying in order to fix what they broke, they need the FTP. Is this normal?? Is there anyone I can talk to about this problem? There is still $600 in our account that I need to get out, and then I’m never using WordPress ever again this has been a nightmare.

do not create duplicate threads! You already got answered several hours ago by Staff at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/my-website-is-down-152/

  • Hey @fsgrecords , I’ve merged your two threads together so we can get a better picture of what’s up. I do want to clarify that we are not the same thing as the free DIY code itself; with that you would rely on community resources or your service providers for support.

You could absolutely host the site here so you could get the kind of support you’re after. You’d just import the entire thing, then we’d take care of security, maintenance, backups, spam filtering, and direct support among other things. If you’re interested, here’s how to get started.

There is still $600 in our account that I need to get out

Is that an account with a payment processor, or perhaps an ad network? I checked our ad network and didn’t see the site there, so if you’re using another provider, I’d recommend reaching out to them directly.
