My website is down for no apparent reason

  I just discovered that my wordpress site is completely down. I manage to get in my account to discover that the theme I bought and all the website content is gone. Thankfully I had a backup. This doesn’t make any sense since I haven’t done anything that would make you think could be the reason for this. Also I didn’t get any notification for wordpress as to account changes. I am hosting with GoDaddy and at their website all my files and information is fine. I have had this wordpress website since 2012 and I cannot understand why out of the blue this happened. Does wordpress now charges for domain? would using my domain from GoDaddy could be the reason why ths happened?
