My website is just… gone…

Hello, I payed for a 5 year subscription way back when and I forgot to renew it because life got in the way. There was no email or anything warning me it was going to expire, either! Anyway, now my website is gone because I’m sure they deleted it, fair enough. So… can I get it back? All the work that went into that… if I pay again, will all the information still be there?

There are no 5 year upgrades here at wordpress.COM. What is the URL of the domain you refer to?

Please share the domain so we can check the status of it. It sounds like the domain registration expired, but it was not through WordPress.com. Our domains need to be renewed each year.

There must be a mistake. I ran a blog that was WordPress for two years. I’m possitive! I’ve never heard of that other thing!
Plus if I go to my account settings right now, it says that’s my website -
Does it matter much that it was a blog? Also I used the wordpress app to edit it on my phone, all the time. Which is why I’m positive it was wordpress.

There are 2 versions of WordPress. This is where the confusion is coming from. What we do here at WordPress.com is quite different from the WordPress installation that you use with a hosting company.
