my website is live but i can’t access it

    how can i get into my website? my email isn’t recognised and the username is taking me back to a previous website. It’s live and it’s for a client so very urgent. Thanks

    Hi,

    If you don’t have the original email used to set up the account, you can use the following information to gain access:

    – A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/

    – The account activation link which we sent to your email when you first registered.

    You can use this information in the account recovery form: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

    If you aren’t able to provide the original email, transaction ID or account activation link, it isn’t possible to recover the account.

    WordPress has strict policies to protect its users from third parties who might be trying to access users’ accounts.

    Can you please give us the URL of the site you are trying to access?


    @catkiinson     please make sure of the site before jumping straight to “…it isn’t possible to recover the account” – at this point it isn’t even clear yet if the OP needs help with a WordPress.com site or a self-hosted one.
