My website is not functioning the way it did this morning

  I can no longer post website links
  by dragging them onto my website.

  I can no longer post photos by
  dragging them onto my website either.

  The screen keeps saying
  DRAG YOUR FILES HERE
  but when I try dragging
  files that does not work either.

  I hope my WORDPRESS website
  goes back to the way it was
  functioning before noon on March 24th –
  everything was so simple and worked
  perfectly.

  I could not be more happy with
  WORDPRESS.COM and I think this
  is just a temporary problem but
  it worries me because I can’t do
  my frequent updates which will
  slowly take away my reader base.

  We did recently make some changes to the Visual editor and to the Image Editor. You can read more about those changes here:

  However, let me address your two questions/concerns:

  I can no longer post website links by dragging them onto my website.

  Can you explain a bit more about how you were accomplishing this previously? Were you somehow dragging links from your address bar into your site? Currently, you can still add links following the instructions here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

  I can no longer post photos by dragging them onto my website either.

  When you are in the post editor, you should be able to either drag the image straight onto the post or onto the “Insert Media” window after clicking “Add Media”. This feature is working correctly on my side in both Chrome and Safari. Is this not working on your side?

  Thank You for the great advice!

  I’m still trying to figure out how
  to drag photos onto my website.

  but I can post links now
  by posting photos and
  embedding links
  within them.

  The other improvements are
  way cool and as usual I maintain
  WORDPRESS.COM is the best
  place on the web to start and
  maintain a website.

  The setup for a new website is
  so easy and the geniuses at
  WORDPRESS.COM are always
  eager to help with advice.

  Thank you for the kind words regarding WordPress.com! Let me address this point:

  I’m still trying to figure out how to drag photos onto my website.

  When you’re in the post editor, dragging and dropping an image on top of your post should open up the “Insert Media” window allowing you to select the alignment, size, etc. Is this not working on your side?
