Hello, WordPress Forum. I new to WordPress and use free default .wordpress.com

I just launch my site yesterday. I click to view the site online, and encounter “connection is not private”, https in red and cross out, I already done the troubleshooting method (enter my website in incognito tab, clear caches and cookies, etc.), no avail. I check my domain SSL, it is currently active.

My friends also views my site and found this error before they can enter my website, please help solve this issue. I felt responsible for the visitors who will visits my website in the future.

Your site has a safe connection.

  • Hi @asv3z,

I understand how concerning it can be to encounter the “connection is not private” error, especially when you’ve just launched your site and are thinking about your visitors’ experience. I visited your site (https://hexagon3z.wordpress.com), but I didn’t encounter the error on my end, which is a good sign.

Sometimes, after SSL is activated, it can take a little while for the settings to fully propagate across all systems. This delay might explain why some visitors (and possibly you) are still seeing the warning. I recommend giving it a bit more time to see if the issue resolves itself for others. Whereas for me, I don’t see the issue.

    Thank you
