My website php index file coding has dissapeared and wont let me update

i was updating my websites php index file when i clicked update it gave me this error
‘Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.’ wiped the code and now all of the content has disappearedThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
