My website was deleted from wordpress

  We have received an email from WordPress saying they found Malware on the site. I finally got to reset the password, and now it’s showing we don’t have a website on WordPress. How can I get my website design back?

  Based on the information given, it sounds like you host your site on a host outside of WordPress.com. You didn’t include the site address here, which is essential for getting support. Is it amykimballevents.com? This is a WordPress.org type site on GoDaddy hosting.

  There’s a difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and you may want to check that out on this page.

  Thank you for getting back to me. Can you please use (email visible only to moderators and staff) for communication. The website is amykimballevents.com … I am hoping to recover the website we have created on WordPress so we do not have to Start Fresh.

  We can only reply via this forum, and do take note that this is a public forum that is indexed by Google. The site automatically redacts your emails for safety.

  However, your site is up and online and using the WordPress software on GoDaddy hosting. If you’re unable to login to that site, consult the forums at https://wordpress.org/support for guidance on resetting your password for that type of site. You can sign up at WordPress.org’s forums to ask for support on your site.

  Hi Brittany,

  As @darciemg mentioned, amykimballevents.com is a WordPress.org site hosted by GoDaddy, rather than WordPress.com:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  We are only able to help with WordPress.com sites here but support for WordPress.org sites is available on these community forums. amykimballevents.com is currently available so it looks like you may have got this sorted out now.

  The account you have on amykimballevents.com is separate from the one you have on WordPress.com, so you will need to login to the site directly:

  http://amykimballevents.com/wp-admin
