MY WEBSITE WAS DISABLED!!! HELP!!!!!

    Okay, so I was trying to change my original website url (ognickmarshtheyungking.wordpress.com) to my new url (blackculturetv.wordpress.com), and I also purchased a redirect so that it would send people to the new url instead of telling them that I just deleted by website. So, when I filled out the form so that I would get the new url I accidentally clicked the little box at the end that says “Discard Current Address?” I figured that people who tried to visit my website through the old url would just be redirected to the new one, but instead I ended up purchasing a redirect that sends people that visit blackculturetv.wordpress.com to blackculturetv.wordpress.com. I don’t care about the $13 I just wasted. I just want people who visit my old url to know that I didn’t delete my website and that i just got a new url. PLEASE HELP this is very important to me.

    Hi @ognickmarshtheyungking, so right now your upgrade forwards users from ognickmarshtheyungking.wordpress.com to blackculturetv.wordpress.com.

    If we remove that, you could just put up a post at the old site saying you’ve moved, but search engines will still link to old posts without forwarding folks along to the new site.

    Personally, I’d recommend keeping the redirect for one year ($13) then removing the redirect and making the old site private next year. But if you’d like to remove the redirect, no problem. You can do that here as long as you’re within 30 days (and you are.)
