My widgets last hours to save when I mofify it!

Add topic to favorites
Something’s happening with the widgets page of my blog. When I want to access the widgets page my explorer (or firefox) frizes and nothing works so I have to force quit the explorer. Why is that happening and how can I fix it?

How it was resolved? I have such problem too…
I have removed all cookies and cache, and forced refresh. Problem lasts. He-e-e-elp!
I use firefox 2.

Do you have a wordpress.com blog?
If so please post the url for that wordpress.com blog.

Which browser and version of it are you using please? If you don’t know then here are 2 tips for finding out.

Firefox 2.0.11 and Opera 9.24 and IE 6.0.2800.
Windows 98.

WordPress works well with IE& and Firefox 2.0.0.11
IE6 is problematic. And as for windows 98 I don’t know if it’s simply so backdated and is causing the problem or not. I think you may have to contact staff unless another blogger comes up with a solution for you.

Sorry. Firefox 2.0.0.11, of course. Usially I use Firefox for WordPress. IE and Opera – to see, if only Firefox has troubles.

The Cookie Dance
step 1. log out
step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. go back and test

If they do not work for you then I have run out of ideas. That means you will have to either wait for another blogger to come along with a new idea or that you will have to contact staff for help.

My widgets have completely disappeared and I can’t move them in the widget window. I try to click and move but it just highlights words, as if the boxes are static.

I’m using firefox 2.0.0.1 and didn’t have this problem until yesterday evening.

That sounds really irritating. Have you tried refreshing your browser and clearing your cookies and cache? If so then you are in the same position as ladycat and will have to contact staff. See the post above yours for details.

The current version of Firefox is 2.0.0.11 and my suggestion would be to upgrade.

I cleared everything twice. It didn’t work the first time, but the second time I restarted my computer and now it’s working fine. Thanks for the help. The wordpress community is great – I’m a newcomer, and glad to be here!
