My wordpress account has become linked with another Google account, can’t access my WP site now.

    I have lost my ‘old’ computer with all the log in details for my WP site. In my desperation to log in again on my new machine, I was stupid enough to try logging in via Google, which linked me with an old Second Life avatar that obviously has nothing to do with the site in question. Now, whatever I do, I can’t get around bloody Google. I’ve tried the support form but I only get to the same point with the result I should simply be able to reset my password… which sends me straight back to my SL avatar. Even on this form it pursues me, telling me that the site in question is linked to another account! Talk about cut-de-sac. What to do?

    Hi there, have you fully logged out of WordPress.com before trying to log in with the correct account? You might also try using a private/incognito browsing window.

    Let us know how that goes and if you need more help, please let us know the address of the site you’re trying to log into.
