my wordpress account has been hacked

I’m desperately trying to get hold of someone to sort this out. Someone has taken over my wordpress account and I can’t get access to it. Instead, I get a pretty empty looking home page, showing NONE of my posts etc but with the name ‘runawaydutifullyc18608ce75’. I’ve started the recovery process but how long does that take as I did it last night and I haven’t heard from anyone. The wapu asst won’t put me through ‘to a human’ as it says I don’t have a paid plan but I DO it’s been taken over. HELP!

You created the account runawaydutifullyc18608ce75 yourself only 13 hours ago. So nothing has been hacked or whatever.
Just log out from current runawaydutifullyc18608ce75 and log in to your other wordpress.com account owning that site.

I DID NOT create the account you mentioned – this is what I get when I try to log in – I can’t access my own account.

Ok something very strange has happened. THIS is my normal account and somehow I have managed to regain access. If you look at my profile pic you will see it’s the same. I have no idea what happened or who gained access but I’ve changed all passwords, added 2step authentification etc. Not a pleasant experience and I def did not set up the other account with the weird name!
