My wordpress.com account map/transfer

    Hi friends, I’m from London. Two days ago, I bought a domain from my service provider. I decided to transfer this domain to WordPress that I like it very much. Your suggestion to me was that I could make this transfer after about two months. You suggested the mapping solution. I decided to do this with the current service provider until the expiration of the two months,. For this purpose, I would need the IP address as well as DNS setting information from you to send to the current service provider. That’s what I was advised to do. Please advice!

    Also to add, the current service provider does not charge me anything, while WordPress costs me $ 18 to do so and I still have to wait for almost 2 months for it to be up and running.
    I am happy to do that but in the meantime, I need to have my domain active and working. Therefore, I would appreciate if you could provide me the above information ASAP, please. I can share them with my service provider.

    To map (or transfer) a domain to a WordPress.com site requires you to purchase a Personal plan or higher: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

    Hi Lena,

    let me explain how this works.
    On WordPress.com, to be able to use a custom domain, you will need one of our paid plans. On any of those plans, mapping your domain will be free.
    If you decide to transfer the domain here, it will be free as well, but the domain will have an additional cost from the second year. The cost of the domain will depend on its extension (TLD):

    So, in order to map the domain, you will first need to get the subscription. You can read more about our plans here:

    Once you’ve done that, you’ll want to follow these instructions to map your domain:

    If your provider requires the IP addresses as well as the nameservers, we can also give you those. Usually, you’d only need the nameservers that you can find in the page I linked above.
