My WordPress.com site — Delete or change name?

  I no longer want my WordPress site to be active, since the company was sold. Can you tell me how to delete it, or at least change the name so that it will not be accessible? Thanks.

  Hi there, we have two options for your situation:

  1. You could make the site Private, so it’s available to recover if you ever want to: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

  2. Or, you could fully delete it: https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
