My wordpress hosted blog has been hacked
-
Hi, I have a political blog hosted on wordpress – tompride.wordpress.com. When anyone tries to access it, now there is a message from Google saying -Warning! Malware detected on this site.
When I contacted Google they said the site could have been hacked but they can only do something about it if I can verify I am the owner of the site. Obviously I’m not the owner – WordPress is.
Hacking is possible because it is a political site.
I’d be really grateful if you could sort out this problem before I lose my hardwon followers who could be forever put off from visiting me ever again.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Tom Pride.

Hi Tom,
Sometimes, Google may show a malware warning if you’ve linked to a site that has been known to distribute malware on your blog. This can happen even if you’ve linked to a site you trust, but which has since been hacked.
When you see that message, do you see any more details about the malware warning? Does it tell you the source of the malware at all?
You can also verify the ownership of your site with Google Webmaster Tools:
