My WordPress pages are too large and often, therefore, inaccessible

Your pages are way too wide and sometimes also do not fit vertically fro my screen. There seems to be nothing I can do about this. Can you help, please? I even tried to change my gravatar photo, but when it went to the ‘cropping’ stage, only half the image was visible on the bottom part of my screen. The scroll bar to the right did nothing to bring that image up, or any buttons that were further down on the page. Hence, I couldn’t proceed. I also have to scroll way to the right or left to get be able to view pages. Again, I do NOT have this problem with other sites, so this is not due to my having my monitor font size set incorrectly, etc. Please advise me on how I can fix this, or I will no longer be able to use your site.
