My wordpress post on Facebook
-
My blog posts on Facebook used to just show the link and a picture, now they are showing about 50 words of text before the reader can click on the link. I don’t like that feature. How can I change it back??!!
Thanks, Mark Brodinsky (I am author of http://www.markbrodinsky.com on wordpress)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We’ve been working closely with Facebook on how we can improve the reliability and the readability of posts which are being shared with Facebook via the Publicize feature. There isn’t any way in which the changes that are being made can be rolled back, however this way we are giving users a chance to see a snippet of articles, a chance to see what is in store, and hopefully spark some more interest and get more reader engagement and so additional click-through!

Sorry, don’t love it… too long, too messy and I don’t like the word count being listed. I don’t want people to see how many words in the blog, because then they may make a decision to read or not to read just based on the word count!!

I certainly understand that concern! I’ve gone ahead and put your feedback in front of the team which is working on these changes. Of course I can’t guarantee any changes will be made, but at least I can promise that your voice will be heard.
Let me know if you run in to any other problems!

Great. It seemed so neat and tidy with the FB posts before. Much prefer that clean look, with an option to list the summary at the beginning if we choose to.
