My WordPress registered domain does not appear under 'My Domains'
-
Yesterday I registered a domain and set up hosting with wordpress. I later decided to transfer hosting to a separate party and proceeded to have a refund made. This morning, ‘My Upgrades’ lists my domain and the ‘My Domains’ section does not show that I have any registered domains.
I am trying to update the name lookup and have no opportunity. Please help.

Are you trying to Move Your Domain to Another Host
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/#change-name-servers-to-point-the-domain-outside-of-wordpress-comWordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

and proceeded to have a refund made.
That is correct. Once you cancel a domain and get a refund, the upgrade is removed from your account and will not appear in your domains list.
Generally, canceling a domain is not a good idea if you intend to use it in the future. Unlike returning a product to the store, it can take time for the registrar to release the domain for registration again. And there is a chance that they may never do so. We generally suggest that people who wish to switch to a different webhost use these instructions to do so:
Given that the domain was canceled recently, it may be possible for us to recover it and continue your registration here (this would require your paying the registration fee again). Otherwise you will need to wait for the registrar to release it.

I never asked for the domain to be refunded. I chose to keep the domain registered with wordpress.com to be transferred at a later date.
At this time I do not know what is happening with the domain Cytota.com and I am worried about my ability to use it in the future.
I later decided to transfer hosting to a separate party and proceeded to have a refund made.
I had a live chat support concerning this transaction. I had never once indicated that I would like to receive a refund for the domain name itself. I sought a refund for the hosting services, the private nature of the registration and the Google Apps for Work.
Additionally, my Google Apps for Work refund has been an issue as I am not able to properly register the account through another third-party, or Google itself.

Okay, I did some digging.
Long story short, the mistake was on our end. The fraud team saw that incorrectly calculated refund, thought that something had gotten messed up and tried to fix it.
My apologies. I’ve added the domain registration back to your account and gave you another year of registration for your trouble.
It may take a few hours for everything to update, but you should be able to point Cytota.com to a new webhost now and transfer to a new registrar in 60 days or so.
Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

Thank you so much for sorting it out. I appreciate it.
I am still having an issue with my Google Apps for Work cancellation. Google will not receive the payment processed by a separate hosting service because wordpress is still involved somehow with the process.

Once you canceled the Google Apps account at WordPress.com, the account is removed from our reseller database and transferred immediately back to Google. We no longer have access to that account’s records and are thus unable to provide support for it.
You should have receive an email from Google shortly after you canceled it here providing you with a brief trial period. If you did not receive that, please reach out to Google’s support team for further assistance on that account.

If you’re an administrator, 24/7 phone, email and chat support is available with your Google Apps for Work account. Sign in to your administrator account and click on the Contact Us button to access cIf you would like to purchase Google Apps from another reseller, you’ll still need to reach out to Google to request a transfer token.
