My wordpress website has vanished. What happened? Do I have to start over?

I’m a beginner at all this. My WordPress website seems to have vanished! When I go to the url it say error connecting to the database. The host, Bluehost, doesn’t have a backup and I didn’t know I needed one or even how to do it. What am I missing here? Where did my website go?
