My wordpress.com blog is distributing malware!!!

Hi,

I came to log on to my blog today and I got this message (I use Chrome):

“Warning: Something’s Not Right Here!
solutionfocusedpolitics.wordpress.com contains content from http://www.bitebackpublishing.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found that malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you’ve visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it’s possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed. Why not try again tomorrow or go somewhere else?
We have already notified http://www.bitebackpublishing.com that we found malware on the site. For more about the problems found on http://www.bitebackpublishing.com, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page.

If you understand that visiting this site may harm your computer, proceed anyway.”

How can this be solved?

I did not get the warning from Firefox – but ask the staff to look anyway. I have yet to see a site that was actually hacked on WordPress.COM in the two years I have been here.

What anti-virus are you using? There have been several cases of false positives with AGV anti-virus.

It is a university staff computer so it is a corporate anti-virus (not sure which one?). I’ll contact wordpress just in case

Google did give me a warning about biteback,

Please don’t click any link in my comment:

The image in your latest blog post:
"http://www.bitebackpublishing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/97818495413361.jpg

is hotlinked to the bitebackpublishing site, which my firefox says is malicious.

If you copied the code from that site directly into your post, you may have to delete it to get rid of any warnings.

@ solutionfocusedpolitics, as soon as i went to your site i got a warning not to proceed, its not your site its your pc.
Down load these and run full scans, then use weekly.

You’re welcome for my part.
A Web page can be completely free of malware and still register as “malicious” in software, if it just contains the name of a suspicious link.
You are better off just deleting the image.
