I have paid and had this website for over 2 years and this has never happened. All my posts and blogs are not there anymore-not even in wordpress. Please help, I put a lot of time into this.

    Hi there!

To avoid any confusion, let’s clarify the different versions of “WordPress”:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software that powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org, the open-source project where you can obtain the software for free to use on your chosen hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software, which is the platform you are currently contacting.

Since your site is not hosted with us, our support is limited, but I can guide you in the right direction to get help.

You see your WordPress site in your WordPress.com dashboard because you had connected your site to your WordPress.com account using the Jetpack plugin. However, this connection only allows you to manage some aspects of your site from that dashboard and does not serve as a backup. If the original site is deleted or disconnected, the content is also removed from your dashboard since the connection no longer exists.

I recommend reaching out to your host Bluehost for assistance with this issue. Since they host your site’s files, they have access to those files and are best equipped to help you find and fix this problem. You can contact Bluehost here: https://www.bluehost.com/contact

I hope this clears things up! Let me know if you have any other questions.
