my /wp-admin page is hanging and won't load as I try to change my password.

    I was attempting to change my password and no matter how or what browser I use the link to do so from my email, the page hangs. Now what?

    It sounds like you are describing either a connectivity issue or a browser related issue.

    Are you using a desktop computer and running an up to date browser version?

    Are you using an app?

    Do you have a dodgy internet connection?

    Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at https://browsehappy.com

    Try using another browser.

    If you are not successful please provide this specific info:
    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

    Yeah, no.
    1) I am a paying .com customer and can’t access live chat. Yes, I know about https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/
    I see that nowhere on it, around it, or near it is a link to live chat support. I spent about an hour yesterday trying to find it.

    2) I am attempting to access the page on explorer, chrome, safari, an ipad, iphone, a laptop, and three different wifi networks after clearing my cache so that is not my problem. I would have been less terse in my original post except I sincerely believed it would eventually forward me to live chat, not the forum. Now, a day later, I still have the problem.

    Well, I apologize on one thing: apparently, although I paid via WordPress, I do NOT have a “premium site”. That explains why I can’t access live chat although I could before. It must have been part of a trial.

    I still have the hanging problem. Any time I attempt to reload the link from my password change email or go to my /wp-admin page, the page never loads. I have no way of accessing my page or changing my password.

    Thank you for your help and I am sorry to have been rude. I would have edited my earlier response but I see I cannot.

    Howdy –

    Live chat is available as a feature in our plan upgrades. As it is now, you’re account does not have a plan upgrade, rather a domain registration. This is why you were not connected to live chat support via the contact form. This is a fairly recent change.
