MyBookWidget legal on wordpress?
-
Hi there-
In reading other posts, I saw that you could make custom widgets by pasting code into a text widget. I tried that with code I got from MyBookWidget/Get Glue. The code disappeared (was stripped?). Does that mean that MyBookWidget widgets aren’t legal on word press? Or could it be another issue? I apologize if this has already been discussed- I couldn’t find reference to it.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We cannot see the code so we can only guess. These are the restricted codes at wordpress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ The software removes them to preserve security.
If you want a definitive answer post the code between backticks`. The backtick (not to be confused with the single quote) is located on the same key as the tilde ~. It’s the key to the left of the number 1 key on your keyboard.
The format for posting code to the forum is:

I went to the site and this is what it states about the 2 blog platforms the widget can be used on.

This widget is a no can use on wordpress.com blogs. Above I posted: These are the restricted codes at wordpress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
When you read that support documentation entry you will find that javascript is one of the restricted codes. -
