    Hello, I am trying to add an ecommerce platform to my site and I was informed I need to provide login information to my MYSQL and the Cpanel for the service install. Googling I have found mixed info about not being able to access it and having to switch hosts, or being able to access it but having to download PHPmyadmin? If anyone knows the accurate way to go about this I would be forever grateful! Private ticket with WP four days ago no response :/

    Hi,

    It sounds like the advice/instructions you have been given is for a WordPress.org self-hosted site, here’s a list of differences between that and the site you have here at WordPress.com.

    There are ecommerce options available here but you’d need to be on the business plan if you want to use either of them.

    Your other options are to use a separate online store and link to it from your site or accept payment through PayPal directly from your site.
