Mysterious #1 in Category

  I have a mysterious “1” that appears in my categories. I delete it over and over, then it disappears until I post again. Anyone have an idea?

  Go to settings > writing and set the “default post” category to a category that is going to remain. You can change it when you write posts, but you have to have the default post category set to a category that exists in your category list.
