mysterious 500 internal server error

PLEASE NOTE: arvoiceovers.wordpress.com is NOT the blog I’m having issues with, but it’s the only one this form would let me select.
In the process of editing my website [arvoiceovers.com] this morning, all of a sudden the WP dashboard froze up and wouldn’t let me access anything, giving me some sort of error coding.
I tried logging back in through my admin panel at http://arvoiceovers.com/wp-admin/ and got this message:

Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, (email visible only to moderators and staff) and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
=====I logged into the control panel of my hosting site WebHostingPad without any issues.
Please be aware that arvoiceovers.wordpress.com was the first system I used for trying out a Web site, but it is NOT the place I’m having the problem. I’d like to delete that blog altogether since I won’t be using it. However, that’s of minimal concern right now.
Please offer any insight you might have as to what may have gone wrong and how it can be fixed…keeping in mind that I know next to nothing about computer code! Thanks so much.
