Mystery: Heavy pixelated JPGs ONLY on my IP and it’s not the bandwidth.

Hi guys. Need help here so much.

I am in the middle of constructing a landing page four our family business. Scenery photos are the most important thing.

This is what I know. I have turned the internet upside down without finding a solution.

    1. Pixelated images appears only with the JPGs. Not with the PNGs.

    2. It occurs in all browsers.

    3. It occurs on all computers.

    4. After 2 nights without sleeping I found out that it is ONLY with my IP. If I disconnect and connect by sharing internet from my cell phone, the image looks good. If I go back to my internet, they look pixelated. It is at a level that looks like mosaic.

    5. Other people who are not in my house, see the image well

    6. It is NOT the speed of my internet. And here is another f*****ing mystery. If USING MY IP and I go to Cpanel and open the image in Cpanel, it looks good. However if I put the image link, (the one that looks like http://redditisthebest.cl/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/pleasehelp.jpg) in a browser, it looks pixelated. This is a mystery.

I need help and a hug. I’m going to throw myself out the window. We need this landing page.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi there!

What’s the address of the site you’re working on?

You mentioned cPanel, which we don’t use on WordPress.com so it sounds like your site is not hosted here but using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and hosted with another company.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

I send you a big virtual hug but to get help with your issue you may want to look at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
