  I would like to change my site from annalernerphoto.wordpress.com to annalernerphotography.wordpress.com, but have a second site with that name (which I am not using, but want to keep – I don’t mind changing it’s name).

  Hi there,

  If the address you want already exists, you won’t be able to change your current site to that. The site address change process can only be used to change to another address that has never before been registered on WordPress.com.

  So renaming or deleting the other site won’t help either in this case. In fact, that will just make the address completely unavailable so you can’t use it at all.

  What you’ll need to do instead in this case is to manually migrate your content from the one site to the other using our export/import tools:

  https://wordpress.com/en/support/import/

  If you have stats and subscribers you also want to move over, let us know here once you’ve finished migrating the content, and we can transfer those for you. Just note that post likes won’t get transferred.
