Name change for my blog

    I would like to change the name of my blog but stay with wordpress.com not WP.org. How do I do that and will my followers be able to find me once the change takes place?

    Hi there,

    You can change your blog address by going to My Blogs, and clicking the Change Blog Address link that appears when you hover over the address you want to change:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/

    Note that you have the option to choose your user name to match the new blog address. If you choose this option, you will not be able to revert back to the original username, and it can affect profile URLs for other services such as Gravatar or IntenseDebate.

    Your followers will see the updated blog address in their Reader and emails if they are following your posts, but to be sage, you can redirect the traffic from your WordPress.com blog to a new site by the Site Redirect upgrade:

    Redirect [Redirects to Site Redirect Support Page]

    As long as the permalink structure on your new site matches the structure on your WordPress.com blog, all of your permalinks will be redirected, as well.
