Name Changing

    The directions say that you can change the name of your blog, which I have done.

    My question relates to this page: http://en.wordpress.com/signup/

    I have gone there rather by accident and found the old names of the blogs, and of course, you can erase it and put in the new, but there’s no link to save the change.

    Is that page supposed to be showing any old thing?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    This is the URL for your blog and it cannot be changed unless you purchase a domain name and domain mapping. http://carpathianpeasant.wordpress.com/

    This is the title of your blog “Old Peasant’s Blog” which can be changed at anytime you wish on the Settings > General page and changing it will have absolutely no affect on the URL; it will remain the same.

    I’m not clear about why you posted the sign-up link to the registration page above and how to help you. Do you wish to register another new blog with a different URL and have it added to your existing account?

    If you’re already logged in, the Signup page can be used to create another blog attached to your existing username.

    If you want to change the title of your blog (what normally shows at the top or in the title bar of a visitor’s browser), you can change that information in Settings > General.

    If you want to change the URL of your blog (the blogname.wordpress.com address), you can’t do so; you need to sign up for a new blog with the name you want instead. You can then move the content from the old blog to the new one.

    No, I don’t want to register another (new) blog at this time.

    I was just confused as to why, when I (accidentally) went to link above, the old name(s) on the blog appeared in the space where you would put the name of a new blog. It wasn’t with just one of them. Both “old names” have been in place when the link was (confusedly) accessed.

    That’s the basis of the question: is that page supposed to be showing any old thing in that space? It the block where you would put in the name of a new blog.
