name credit issue

I’m trying to get my name credit to auto populate when I upload my motion graphic to WordPress. I originally make the graphic in After Effects (add my name in Dublin Core metadata section at this point), output to Media Encoder, then finally make it a gif in a general gif site. Somehow my name isn’t auto populating like a Getty Images credit once in WordPress. Thank you. Paola

  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

Hi, thank you. I don’t know where the problem lies. I put my name only in the metadata in Adobe After Effects, then compress it in Adobe Media Encoder, then make the gif in https://ezgif.com/, then upload it to WordPress. My name isn’t auto-populating in the credit line in WordPress. For example, here, the editor had to add my name manually under the motion graphic: https://nypost.com/article/how-to-celebrate-winter-solstice/

  • Hi,

Can you share the URL of your website?

I’m not seeing any WordPress.com sites associated with the user account you are posting from. This frequently means that you have a site using the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org, but hosted elsewhere.

We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
