  Somehow I got started with a private domain name. But I wanted to start a completely free blog. Can I?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I don’t know what you mean by a “private domain name”.

  You already have a free blog on WordPress.com. It’s listed in your post above:

  http://kerinainamerika.home.blog/

  That site is currently private so only you can see it, but you can set it to public at any time from My Site ->Manage ->Settings:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  I think they were probably expecting a “.wordpress.com” site rather than a “.home.blog” site.

  @skerina, you’re free to rename to a .wordpress.com address if you prefer. Here’s how:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Just note you won’t be able to change it back. And the home.blog address is completely free too.
