Name of the Author

Hello WordPress Team,
Can the name of the author of the posts be changed on the blog:
neveragaintorepeatagain.wordpress.com?Our preference is to insert: wethemoderatemuslims on each one
of the post.Furthermore, how to block the “comments” from coming in. We prefer to have comments be directed to a special email box and
not on the blog to avoid the scams and possible hacking of the
blog.Awaiting the favor of your early reply.
Thanks & Regards,
Rafiq
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It appears you are asking how to change your “display name”.Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
-
Thanks for very quick reply. No, I do not want to change the username.
If I change the display name, will it only display on a particular blog or it will change on all of my blogs? Rafiq -
Furthermore, how to block the “comments” from coming in. We prefer to have comments be directed to a special email box and
not on the blog to avoid the scams and possible hacking of the
blog.All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. Your visitors click the post tiles or the comment links or comment bubbles on the front page of the blog and they are directed to the full post appearing on it’s own page where the comment boxes appear at the end of the posts.
You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/04/23/comments-off-1/Important Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules
Create a contact form
Create a static Page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ and embed the contact form on it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ Then you will have the URL for that Page which you can paste into a text widget (if you choose to) http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ and when folks click the link they will arrive on the contact form page.
Note that you have two choices re: the contact page. You can include it in a custom menu or simply link to it from the text widget and not include it.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pagesAutofilled information
There will be autofilled information in a contact form or a comment box but your information is visible only to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.When someone makes a comment on your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.
Also know that there is an Admin link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any editors you have can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.

Thanks for very quick reply. No, I do not want to change the username.
If I change the display name, will it only display on a particular blog or it will change on all of my blogs? RafiqIt will change the display name on every blog registered under the same username account.
Registering another account and transferring blog(s)
Without logging in register a new username account using a different email address.To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.
Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.
adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Again, thank you for your help. I believe that it will be best to remove the display name by keeping it blank. This way, I type the name of the author, or whoever at the bottom of each post. What say you? Rafiq

I see that removing that will require an annually renewable custom design upgrade and CSS editing. I do not recommend doing that but the choice is yours to make.
See here for details on purchasing the annually renewable custom and CSS editing:

Alternatively, you could simply switch to using a theme that does not display author bylines at all.
For a list of themes that do or do not display author bylines and/or author profiles see > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/ The wpbtips post lists themes created up to December 2011. There is a newer post that lists themes created from January 2012 through July 2014: http://danielgreene.com/2014/07/20/blog-2014-free-wordpress-themes-that-show-author-bylines/

Note that I have CSS on most of the blogs. Why would changing display name be such an issue? I am not changing the username at all. On the blog which is being discussed on this thread, I paid $ 99 yesterday. Hence, what more do I have to pay?
-
O Time Thief! I fell in love with YOKO THEME. What can I do? It is great and it is perfect for my blog. I must remain a faithful admirer and not
switch the theme. With respect. Rafiq -
Custom design upgrades are included in the $99 per year Premium theme bundle of upgrades. Hence, you would not have to pay an additional charge. I did not know you had purchased that upgrade until after I posted what I did above.

You have these options:
1. Change your “display name.
2. Use CSS editing to hide the author byline on the theme you use now.
3. Switch to using a theme that does not display an author byline. -
You asked:
If I change the display name, will it only display on a particular blog or it will change on all of my blogs? Rafiq
I replied:
It will change the display name on every blog registered under the same username account.
That brings us to option 4.
Transfer the blog to another username account.

Do you have any code to “Hide the author name” on CSS? I think that is the option I will go for? This sounds more simple and easy to do rather than go around in circles. A code to hide will suffice for now. Let me know at the earliest. Thanks as always.
The current code is as follows:
aside.widget_image img {
width: 100%;
}#content .entry-details {
display: none;
}#content .entry-header, #content .entry-content {
width: 100%;
}.widget h3.widget-title, .widget_get_recent_comments h1.widget-title {
font-size: 15px !important;
color: #663300;
}#site-title h2 {
font-size: .9em;
font-weight: bold;

Hi again,
You will have to copy and paste that text into a thread that will appear in the CSS editing forum. Here is a link so you can post a thread there https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform
