Name server change + DNS mapping

    We recently changed our CDN to Cloudflare and therefor moved our name servers and updated our DNS. However, wordpress is still stating after 48+ hours that the domain still isn’t verified, therefor the site being down.

    I’ve done a whois search and the new name servers are pointing to Cloudflare as intended and I’ve double checked all the DNS records. Any ideas?

    Happy to help with this.

    48+ hours that the domain still isn’t verified, therefor the site being down.

    For domain verification, you would need to reach out to the domain registrar ultimately for assistance, as the domain is not registered with WordPress.com.

    It’s possible to use Cloudflare on WordPress.com – this is how this would be done: https://wordpress.com/support/cloudflare-cdn/#if-your-domain-is-registered-with-another-provider

    @aleone89 The Registrar is pointing to Cloudflare for it’s DNS name servers. These are all properly configured and verified from NSlookup. However, when trying to connect the WordPress site to the domain, it’s stuck on “Verifying”. I’ve edited the A records as WordPress instructed and also updated the CNAME WWW record. Still no luck.

    Some help would be really appreciated as it’s not Cloudflare causing the issue.

    Hi there,

    I can confirm that I see your WordPress.com Business site at infraspace.co.uk when I check on my end. Here is what I see:

    Most major domain settings changes can take a bit of time to update globally, which may explain why you did not see your WordPress.com site immediately after making those changes. However, things usually sort themselves out when the domain settings have some time to take effect, and that seems to be the case here.

    @staff-totoro yep all working now. I have to delete the entire domain from wordpress and readd it into my site. Worked within an hour… So seems there was a bug somewhere.
