name server issue

I had started my blog site with a trial Bluehost subscription, which I canceled. They released my blog name ‘HisRighteousness’ and pointed it back to the WordPress name servers, or so they told me. However, I still cannot add pages. Please help me resolve.

Hi there in order to use your custom domain on WordPress.com, you need both a free WordPress.com website (mysite.wordpress.com) and at least a WordPress.com Personal upgrade plan to map the domain custom hisrighteousness.org to. Your domain name servers are pointing here, but without the above, you can’t create a site.

If you haven’t yet created a WordPress.com address, you can do that here and purchase the plan you want at the same time > https://wordpress.com/pricing/

This guide will walk you through the steps of connecting your custom domain https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

Once you have an upgrade plan, you’ll also have access to direct support by LiveChat (when available) and email support rather than needing to post to the forums.

Post back here if you have any other question about this.

Thank you for the help Jennifer. I’m sorry I wasn’t clear on my request. I canceled the Bluehost trial because I decided I didn’t want to pay at this point, but rather work on the free platform at first and see how this goes. I don’t want the hisrighteouness.org custom domain, but rather the free hisrighteousness.wordpress.com one. This is my goal, but I can’t seem to figure out how to make it happen. Again, thank you for your help.

Hello again, it looks like the site address hisrighteousness.wordpress.com was already registered and deleted. WordPress.com websites when deleted also remove the address from being reused to avoid impersonation.

If you owned that site and it’s been less than 30 days since the site was deleted, please respond to the email you received from WordPress.com following deletion. If it’s been more than 30 days, it’s not possible to recover the site.

If you did not own hisrighteousness.wordpress.com, you won’t be able to register it, as I mentioned above. WordPress.com does have a number of other free subdomains ending in .blog that you could register. Have a look here and see if one of these subdomains will work for you: https://wordpress.com/blog/2018/11/28/announcing-free-dotblog-subdomains/

When you go to register a site, and you get to the domain part, fill in the full dotblog subdomain you want like hisrighteousness.family.blog If the subdomain is available, it should come up for you and you might have to look a little below the suggested custom domains to find it and continue.

Come back here if you have any other question or need more assistance.
